Success Virtual Learning Centers of Michigan is a state-wide online & alterative high school system that offers students aged 14-21 an opportunity to complete their education remotely and on their own schedule. Students who fall through the cracks of a traditional brick-and-mortar education, whether for personal life reasons or issues at their school, can still succeed with Success.

NODEHAUS came to SuccessVLC to offer these short documentary pieces in order to showcase the human value of offering virtual and remote educational solutions for students in unique situations.

We follow Krystal, a teenage mother who needed the flexibility of school on her own terms, Yasmine, a student who couldn’t thrive under the social pressures of her brick-and-mortar school district, and Robert, an educator at Success who is passionate about seeing his students lead their own lives.
